FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™

The FIFA Club World Cup 2020™ will take place in Qatar from 4-11 February 2021. It will be the second time Qatar has played host to the world’s continental club champions after successfully staging the 2019 version of the tournament, which was won by Liverpool FC.

The upcoming FIFA Club World Cup was due to take place in December 2020 – but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020 participating teams

The FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™ will see the world’s top teams come together to compete for the most prestigious honor in global club football. Matches will kick off on 4 February, with the final taking place on 11 February 2021.

The tournament will be contested by:

  • Al-Duhail SC
  • Al Ahly SC
  • FC Bayern Munich
  • Ulsan Hyundai FC
  • Tigres UANL
  • SE Palmeires

Following the withdrawal of Auckland City, the local team, Al-Duhail SC, will move directly to the second round.

Ticketing information

Sales phases

Fans can apply for tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™ during the following sales phases:

  • Visa Presale

Visa, the preferred payment method of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™, is pleased to offer its cardholders exclusive access to apply for match tickets from Monday, 18 January at 12:00 Doha time until Sunday, 24 January 2021 at 12:00 Doha time.

  • Last Minute Sales Phase

From Sunday, 24 January at 12:00 Doha time until the end of tournament on Thursday, 11 February 2021, tickets will be available to the general public. Visa remains the preferred payment solution.

Both sales phases will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

The above dates are all subject to possible change without prior notice. Any changes will be communicated by FIFA.

How to apply for tickets

All tickets available during the Visa Presale are exclusively available here.

After purchasing your ticket online, follow these steps:

  • Vaccinated fans with at least seven days post-vaccination completion or fans who had COVID-19 after 1 October 2020. Collect your ticket from the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), anytime from 10:00 – 23:00 Doha time, up to 72 hours before the start of the match.
  • Fans who have not had COVID-19 or a vaccination, or had COVID-19 before 1 October 2020. Take a COVID-19 test at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), anytime from 10:00 – 23:00 Doha time, up to 72 hours before the start of the match. If your test has a negative result, you can proceed collecting your tickets.

Visas and travel restrictions

As of Monday, 18 January at 12:00 Doha time, only residents with valid Qatar IDs, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens and those with exceptional entry permits (EEPs) can enter the country, subject to State of Qatar visa and entry protocols. The attendance of international fans from abroad is currently not possible due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

International ticket applicants are advised to check on Qatar’s current visa and entry requirements and COVID-19 travel restrictions. Further information on Qatar’s visa and entry requirements can be found here.

Please be aware that quarantine rules apply to all those entering Qatar. Quarantine periods differ depending on the country of origin and may be between 7-14 days. Please refer to the Ministry of Public Health website for more information.

Ticket collection

All tickets will need to be collected individually at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) (location map) – anytime from 10:00 to 23:00 Doha time, up to 72 hours before the start of the match.

The QNCC is open every day from 1 to 11 February (closing at 19:00 Doha time on 11 February).

Ticket holders will need to bring their QID and/or passport and payment confirmation email. Anyone requiring a COVID-19 test will be able to do so at the QNCC. A result will be available within 15 minutes.

If you plan to attend a second match, you will need to take a second COVID-19 test at the QNCC – if more than 72 hours have passed since the first one.

Stadium entry and matchday procedures

Special safety measures have been put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the health and safety of all fans during the tournament.

Further information on stadium entry and matchday procedures will be provided in due course.

Ticket products

  • Individual Match Tickets

“Individual Match Tickets” will be the product available for the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™. These are tickets for a specific match, available for all matches (from the opening match all the way to the final). These tickets will be offered in categories 1 to 3.

  • Accessibility Tickets

Pricing policy: In each stadium and for all matches, accessibility tickets (ATs) are offered at the same price as category 3 tickets, subject to availability.

Categories & definitions: There is a dedicated allocation of tickets available for people with disabilities and/or limited mobility:

  • W – wheelchair user: these are for fans with manual or electric wheelchairs or scooters that have either three or four wheels; with maximum dimensions of 70cm in width and 130cm in length; a maximum turning radius of 90cm; a maximum turning circle of 1.5m x 1.5m; and a maximum speed of 6km/h
  • ES – easy access standard: these tickets are for people with disabilities and/ or limited mobility who do not need a wheelchair user place but require seating with easy access that is close to accessible amenities (e.g. accessible toilets)
  • AM – easy access amenity: this type of ticket is for people with disabilities and/ or limited mobility who do not use wheelchairs but may be unable to bend their knees or need more room to access their seat, for example due to using a walking aid or crutches. Easy amenity seats also provide extra space for people with assistance dogs
  • EW – extra-wide easy access: this type of ticket is for adults (over 18 years of age) with a BMI of at least 40
  • Companion tickets: this type of ticket is for people assisting an accessibility ticketholder with general guidance, guidance through crowds, accessing food & beverage facilities and toilet facilities

Companion policy: With the exception of extra-wide easy access tickets, successful ticket applicants for accessibility tickets will collect one complimentary companion ticket for a companion to provide assistance during the selected match.

If requested, the wheelchair user will be allocated an adjacent seat for their companion. Easy access standard and easy access amenity ticketholder companions will be seated as close as possible to the accessibility ticket customer. However, the exact location of the seat cannot be guaranteed. It cannot be ensured that the seat for the easy access standard and easy access amenity companion will be adjacent to that of the accessibility ticket customer.

Please note that it is not possible to request more than one complimentary ticket per accessibility ticket.

Submission of eligibility documents: The ticket applicants might be requested to provide a document to prove their eligibility for an accessible ticket during ticket collection from the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

  • Wheelchair users, easy access standard, easy access amenity: medical certificate or proof that is widely accepted in their country of residence
  • Extra wide: signed doctor’s note stating a BMI of at least 40

Eligibility check

  • Upon entrance to the stadium, the ticketholder of an accessible ticket must always carry and present, upon request, the proof of eligibility documents
  • The eligibility of a ticket applicant for an accessible ticket might be determined upon entrance to the stadium
  • If the eligibility test is not passed, ticket(s) may be cancelled. The paid amount will be refunded to the ticket applicant

There will be three price categories on offer for the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™: categories 1, 2 and 3.

  • Category 1 is the highest priced and located in prime areas within the stadium.
  • Category 2 is located in the stadium corners outside of the category 1 area.
  • Category 3 is located behind the goals.
